Q1. What is Leadiology?

A1. The Science of Leadership

Q2. What does that mean?

A2. Leadership has many qualities and many definitions. In Leadiology, we look at the 7 elements of Leadership. We also look at the individual’s approach to their position, goals, and vision. We also evaluate how prepared the leader is to achieve his objectives. Most importantly of all, we look at how aligned the individual is as a leader – something we refer to as “balanced leadership.”

Q3. Everybody talks about leadership and motivation.  What makes you so different?

A3. The very heart and core of Leadiology is alignment. Your abilities as a leader depend on your personal, profession, and organisational balance in the physical, emotional, and biochemical sectors. Balanced leadership is essential to powerful leadership. Yes, you can lead without being aligned, but we will tell you this: sooner or later your body will begin to talk to you. If you don’t listen to what your body is saying, the consequences can be quite serious. We know that from our own experiences.

So what makes us different? We align and balance leaders to become mentally, physiologically, and structurally prepared to meet the many challenges of leadership.

Q4. So what is this alignment thing and what is the benefit?

A4. As we said, we balance leaders physically, mentally and biochemically. As professional Kinesiologists we know all about optimising energy through touch, nutrition, and muscle alignment. The benefit of alignment and balance includes the ability to discover true goals that align both the individual and the organisations to each other.

Work related absences cost the economy £10-12 billion a year. By aligning the individual, you are not only making the individual stronger, you are making the organisation stronger. There will be fewer sick days and a more productive and happier workforce. We’re able to identify, minimise, and even eliminate those factors, which are causing weaknesses in the individual and organisation.

The largest single area for cost control in any labour intensive industry is related to health. With the majority of absences accounted for by minor complaints, the potential for management of these costs is even more apparent.

Q5. Well, I know I am an unbalanced leader. I’ve got all the symptoms you’re describing, but you know, I just cope with it and that’s the reality.

A5. We understand. Of course, you can continue to lead while unbalanced. In fact, there are many leaders who do so. However, be aware that sooner or later something will give way. Your team may become dysfunctional, you may lose customers or you may begin to experience a number of symptoms ranging from indigestion, to back pain to even crying. Some leaders may recognise that something is not quite right and try to take corrective action but many don’t.

Q6. How do you know the body never lies?

A6. By the response we will get from your body. As trained Kinesiologists, we know how a muscle should behave. Depending on the statement or challenge introduced to your body, the muscle to be used acts as a barometer. The muscle will either go strong or weak. However, understand that a weak response to a challenge is not necessarily an area of concern. Rather, we are seeing that the body responds negatively to that specific challenge. The client normally confirms this verbally after the challenge, and I see time and time again that the response was surprisingly correct.
