COMMUNICATION AND TRAINING

Delivered training courses to General Manager Sales, Senior National Accounts Managers, National Account Managers, Field Sales Managers, Field Reps, Marketing and other end users during their changes to SAP CRM.

 

Successfully won the confidence and buy in of users during the change management process and overcame any issues by demonstrating the key benefits of using the new CRM System.

 

Gave ongoing additional SAP CRM support to Sales force, Marketing and other end users after initial training sessions were finished.

 

 Uploaded and tested data into SAP before going live to ensure the integrity of the system.

 

Successfully trained TDK Sales Force and Marketing on how to use the new Oracle CRM systems, Excel forecasting systems and Essbase (Hyperion Business Intelligence Software).

 

Gave Presentations to TDK Senior Management in Luxembourg on how the UK used various sales forecasting models to assess future revenue streams.

 

Frequently presented sales forecast, results, variances and market share data to sales management at monthly Sales Meetings using PowerPoint and Excel. Highlighting issues in their forecasting and the impact they can have on the business.

 

Comprehensive planning and control achieved by effective communication and presentation of data. Performance complimented at the highest level (Sony MD) leading to increased responsibility and promotion.

 

Known as the “Excel Whiz Kid” by TDK colleagues.

 

PLANNING

Successfully built and implemented a monthly Sales Planning System using Excel spreadsheets for TDK UK. Result – System adapted for a new planning tool for the whole European operation.

 

Responsible for producing detailed Rolling Business Plans Bi-Annually with 400 product categories and 1200 operational lines using integrated excel spreadsheets from individual sales executives. Result – Methodology adopted across TDK Europe.

 

 Key role in a developing Oracle as a Sales Planning tool for all TDK European subsidiaries. The project required a considerable amount of energy and a “shirt sleeves” approach.

 

Led a major change CRM project, responsible for 1) ensuring the outputs of the project are aligned with the TDK’s business objectives 2) creating a Blueprint model for a universal order cycle.

 

Successfully built and implemented a monthly Sales Forecasting System using Excel and Essbase (Hyperion Business Intelligence Software) for TDK UK. Result – System adapted for a new forecasting tool for the whole European operation.

 

Responsible for developing the 1st computer generated planning system for the Sony National Accounts team to monitor sales variances by account. Result - Substantially improved stock management, procurement and decision making. This was later implemented for the whole Consumer Sales Division.

 

Responsible for creating and monitoring price/volume/value targets by business channel/salesman and ensuring their achievement.

 

Key role in New Product Development group. Project required group to come up with a new high tech product for the UK mass market.

 

ANALYSIS AND MODELLING

Analysed current market situation, agreed a strategy, setting priorities and implementing a plan, e.g. product positioning, competitor activity, customer requirement, customer relationship and pricing policy. Result – Maintained TDK as a preferred supplier in major high street multiples and Grocery Sector.

 

Created several analytical business models to predict future revenues and profit streams. Result - Improved focus on pricing strategy, product range and profit margins for TDK UK.

 

Developed a comprehensive suite of management controls using Excel to monitor progress against rolling sales targets and forecasts on a monthly basis.

 

Developed a fully integrated Management Information System using Business Intelligence software. Result - Faster comprehensive reporting and immediate extraction of business data.

 

Put into place webpage designs for Sony Dealers to interface with Service Centre for future customer repairs.

 

CONSULTING AND ADVISING

Ceated proposals to improve productivity and optimise manpower resources in the supply chain process by 33% in a Sony Service Centre. – Result - Closure of existing premises and reduction in stock booking in procedures.

 

Developed proposals to change the current structure of TDK sales force to meet changing market conditions. Result – Integration of sales force account responsibilities and a streamlined customer database, reducing the cost of servicing smaller accounts by 5%.

 

Helped a design company earn 4% of their annual turnover from new clients as a consultant with Leadiology Worldwide Limited.
